Co-Founder & Technical Director
After completing an IT apprenticeship in 2016 and working within the education sector, I developed a strong foundation in IT and networking. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for technology. I then expanded my skills into software development, which I’ve applied at SM Unified Solutions to create our very own in-house dashboard and ticketing system. Since starting SM Unified Solutions, I have completed a large number of exams and courses, including Grandstream, 2N, Yealink, Paxton, Mitel, 3CX, Verkada, and more. I enjoy finding practical solutions through technology and helping our team deliver seamless services to our clients.
Steven Mitchell
Co-Founder & Technical Director
After completing an apprenticeship with Marconi Communications Ltd, I spent 10 years with the company, gaining extensive experience in telecommunications and technology. In 1994, I joined Philips BCS to implement the national code change on Sopho IS3000 PBXs installed nationwide, working with clients including the NHS, RBS, Cambridge, Nottingham, and Greenwich Universities, as well as up to 200 blue-chip companies.
In 2001, I launched my own company, becoming an alternative provider of services on the IS3000 range and taking on clients such as BHP Billiton, NHS Princess Alexandra Trust, Kent Fire and Rescue, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. I also contributed to high-profile projects including the construction of Sizewell B and the prototype development of the BAe 146-300 at British Aerospace.
I bring a wealth of hands-on expertise and technical knowledge to SM Unified Solutions, helping drive innovative, reliable solutions for our clients across the UK.
